THIEVES risked being killed to steal copper from an electricity sub-station near Yate. They dug under a 7,000-volt electrified fence in order to take 46 copper earthing straps, leaving the site in Lark's Lane, Latteridge, in a potentially lethal condition, causing considerable damage.  more info
