Changes to Lantra's structure?

I am writing to you to communicate some important proposed changes that may be happening to Lantra Awards over the next couple of months.
Over the past nine months Lantra’s trustees have been considering how best the group should respond to the new economic and political environment. It is now becoming clear that there will be a significant reduction in core funding to Lantra SSC, and across the group we will need to both reduce costs and adopt a far more commercial focus in order to ensure that we have a sustainable business.
It is proposed that Lantra Awards and Lantra Sector Skills Council will come together into a single management structure. It is anticipated that any new structure will be in place and fully operating by February 2011.
The detail of how the two businesses will come together is now being planned out, but I would like to assure you that for all our Lantra Awards customers it is very much “business as usual” during this transition period. Looking ahead, by making these changes we anticipate that we will not just protect but rather enhance our services to our customers.
